Arquimea Research Center
ARC is a private non-profit research entity with more than 80 researchers, engineers, and experts in deep-tech technologies, such as quantum, biotechnology, photonics, robotics, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence or blockchain. ARC is part of ARQUIMEA GROUP, a Spanish engineering company with a strong focus on cutting-edge technologies with broad experience in digital and analogue electronics. ARC is the starting point for developing new products from early TRLs, pushing the adoption of PICs to reduce cost and energy consumption and increase performance in the next generation of technologies that ARQUIMEA GROUP will launch. Therefore, integrated photonics is also a central part of ARC’s portfolio. ARC is currently present in several research lines in the photonic-quantum department that involve PICs, such as optical computing applied to artificial intelligence or inertial sensors based on resonant-waveguide optic gyroscope (RWOG) schemes. Moreover, ARC also takes part in projects related to Nitrogen-Vacancy (NV) Centres in quantum sensing as high-resolution magnetometers for nanoscale nuclear magnetic resonance and hyperpolarised fluids as well as post-quantum cryptography with quantum random number generation schemes that also rely on to-be-miniaturized photonic schemes.
